"Music of the Heart" (1990)
This clip is interesting as it reflects the perspective of all associated parties of a particular educational relationship; the principal, the coordinator looking for compromise, the parent: the self asserted mother hen, the teacher: the exasperated technician, and the students: the prototypes everyone wants to get their hand on. This relationship often turns into a power tug-of-war and often times there is no perfect solution. Roberta in the clip is not a perfect teacher, but one thing for certain is that she is a better version of herself without the influence other people who is not involved in the intimate teaching process. |

"Games of Thrones" S1 Syrio Forel teaching Arya Stark cut
Despite being a completely unrealistic, fast forwarded teaching montage for sword fight in a fantastical setting, this clip is endlessly amusing and enticing to watch and also often referred to as a positive example of a learning experience. Obviously, with such a fantastical setting it is hard to judge the if the teaching was really good or not, but judging completely from the result the directors probably wanted to produce; this is a great teaching/learning experience and it looks really fun! A few points that can highlight the underlying reality that produced this enjoyable scene is that both the student and the teacher are dedicated and interested in the subject at hand and also genuinely seem to like each other, in addition the eccentric nature of Syrio Forel, first sword of Bravos also gets extra points for being a charismatic teacher. |
